I've been reading up on Osama Bin Ladin, trying to find out who his is and what his motives are. Apparently he was born into wealth. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammed_bin_Awad_bin_Laden His father's is a typical rags to riches story. Immigrated from Yemen. Started his own business and through hard work, good timing (lots of oil money flooding in to Saudi Arabia and a Royal family keen to build infrastructure) and good contacts managed to get super rich. http://www.forbes.com/2001/09/14/0914whoisobl.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osama_bin_Laden Also sme interesting connections with Zawahiri http://www.newyorker.com/archive/2002/09/16/020916fa_fact2
Just announced, we are getting a commission into 9/11. But I wonder how unbiased this is going to be considering the “culprits have already been identified”. Perhaps such a thing should be administrated and undertaken by the UN, not the US.
Theres been some more weird reports about inside trading on the attacks. This stems from lead last year. A whole lot of money was made from the fall in the share price of United Airlines after the 11 September World Trade Centre attacks. But no one claimed it. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/news/mystery-of-terror-insider-dealers-631325.html Now that money is being claimed.
Shit Latanaka, I'm so tired of the Bush bashing and even America bashing we are seeing on this group. I've been lurking here for a while and i'm disgusted to see how the blame keeps getting shifted back to the government. Show some respectful patriotism. We're trying to fight a war.
Firstly, i'm not from the US, i'm Japanese based in Canada. Secondly i'm not bashing the US government or people, just stating that there is a serious conflict of interest when a party looks for justice after they have delivered punishment. If they were to find that it was someone other than Bin Laden, the Taliban or Saddam, do you think they would ever tell us now that they have bombed Afghanistan?
